Board approves GMP amendment to add prefabricated pool to new high school using available funds

Staff described the prefabricated option as lower maintenance with a 25-year warranty and fewer long-term concrete-related concerns for Northeast Ohio weather.
The presenter said roughly $1,700,000 remained available in the project budget, which made the alternate feasible without increasing the project's net cost. A board member moved the resolution on first reading, a second was recorded, and the board approved the amendment on roll call (all recorded votes were 'Yes').
Because the item passed on first reading with recorded roll-call votes, staff will proceed with contract adjustments required to incorporate the prefabricated pool into construction schedules and procurement.
