Ontario SD 8C finance director: auditors begin work next week after large September payroll

Devin Collins, director of finance, told the Board that September marks the first large payroll of the school year and that subsequent monthly reports should be less drastic. He said auditors will begin work the following week and have already requested a substantial number of items in preparation for the district audit.
Collins said the auditors “have requested a lot of items already, and they have an entire week focusing on getting OSD audits done.” He indicated the auditors are scheduled to present to the Board when their fieldwork is complete. The finance office will continue to process payroll and prepare requested documentation for auditors.
