Sahuarita's Growing Sahuarita program provides one-on-one business coaching, action plans and connections to resource partners to help local and home-based businesses scale or transition to brick-and-mortar operations. Victor said business coaches help entrepreneurs build step-by-step action plans and provide ongoing follow-up.
"The program has been largely successful through the efforts of our business coaches," Victor said, noting coaches set up actionable plans that guide business decisions. He and the host highlighted partnerships with organizations like the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and noted the program is offered at no cost.
Why it matters: The program is positioned as complementary to attraction work — while the town markets to new retailers, Growing Sahuarita aims to strengthen existing local businesses so the community retains and grows local services and jobs.
How to access: Staff invited small-business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to contact the program at grow@sahuaritaaz.gov for free assistance.
