Lewis County approves contracts for adult and youth services totaling nearly $906,000 for 2026–27
Summary
The board reviewed and approved service agreements with Reliable Enterprises, Coastal Community Action Program and Morningside for recreation, supported employment and community inclusion services totaling about $905,706 for the 2026–27 contract year.
County staff presented contracts to provide social and employment support services for eligible Lewis County residents for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026.
A presenter described an agreement with Reliable Enterprises for recreation, nutrition and child development services with a maximum contract amount of $112,706 for the 07/01/2026–06/30/2027 contract year. The county also reviewed an agreement with Coastal Community Action Program for individual supported employment and community inclusion services with a maximum of $232,000, and an agreement with Morningside for the same services with a maximum of $561,000.
Commissioners asked about historical wait lists for vocational services; staff responded there is not currently a wait list for the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and said previous waits (at times over 50 people) have been greatly reduced. The items were included in the deliberation resolutions that the board approved.
