Reynolds School Board adopts revised goals, says no new assessments planned

Board Chair Michael Reyes called the Reynolds School District Board of Education business meeting to order at 6:09 p.m. on Sept. 25, 2024. During Action Items the board considered and adopted revised board goals.
"I move that the Board approve the revised goals as presented," Director Aaron Muñoz said when he placed the motion; Director Francisco Ibarra seconded. The motion passed 5-0. Meeting minutes record that the board "did not intend to add additional assessments." The adoption formalizes the board's priorities for the 2024–25 year and will guide superintendent and staff work plans.
The revised goals replace the previous set of objectives on the district agenda and will be reflected in forthcoming staff reports and planning calendars. The board did not place any additional assessment requirements on those goals at the time of adoption; follow-up reports are expected in committee or future meetings as workplans are implemented.
