Lake County delays ERP go‑live to Oct. 1; schedules mandatory August trainings

Lake County staff told the board the enterprise resource planning implementation's go‑live date has been shifted to Oct. 1 and detailed mandatory training plans for county personnel ahead of that launch.
"We moved out the go live date for the work implementation to October 1," the auditor-controller told the board when outlining the change in schedule. The auditor-controller said workshop polling produced preferred training dates of Aug. 19, 21 and 28 and that staff will send a confirmation communication. A board member insisted trainings be mandatory, saying, "I still think we stand, committed to saying everybody is mandated to be a part of these things," and urged department directors to ensure staff attend so employees "are as prepared" for the rollout.
The auditor-controller said the amendment under consideration is intended to cover consultant support through roughly three months after go‑live (through the end of November), and that staff would return to the board if additional post‑go‑live support were needed.
