Royse City HS reports thousands of VUE scholarship offers for seniors

Royse City ISD's executive director of counseling presented results from the district's VUE scholarship partnership, telling trustees the program produced substantial scholarship interest for the senior class and will be offered again to juniors in the spring.
"We had an impressive 18,988 scholarships offered," Miss Acker said, describing the platform that shares student information with partner universities after parental consent. She added that the initiative produced offers that broaden students' awareness of potential financial aid and that the district is the second in Texas to form the partnership. The presenter also said the vendor dashboard showed aggregate dollar figures for the offers and that the program aims to eliminate barriers for students who previously saw college as out of reach.
Board members thanked counseling staff for expanding postsecondary options and said they look forward to the spring rollout for juniors.
