District finance staff provided an update on the Bond 2023 program, reporting the district has just over $72,000,000 on hand and that project spending is tracking with expectations. The presentation listed expenditures at middle-school and high-school projects and noted timing options for the next bond sale to lower interest expense.
"You should have your, let me see if I can get on the screen... you can see in the far left hand corner that we have, just over 72,000,000 on hand," Mr. Bryant said. He noted some payments have been made to middle-school projects and that the district expects it may be able to delay the next sale past summer to reduce interest costs. Board members asked staff to continue monitoring timing and costs; staff said they will provide updates on sale timing and remaining project balances.
