Board accepts nearly $400,000 in PTA and community gifts to campuses

Assistant Superintendent David Pate itemized five gifts over $5,000: Arapaho Classical Magnet PTA ($65,695); Lake Highlands Elementary PTA ($162,290.74); North Lake Elementary PTA ($34,105.69); Mohawk Elementary PTA ($10,151.40); and Spring Creek Elementary PTA ($110,000). Pate said the donations reflect "an immense amount of appreciation" from PTAs and partner organizations and recommended board acceptance. The board approved the acceptance motion 7–0.
Trustees thanked community volunteers and PTAs and asked about how to donate during the summer; administration said gift acceptance forms remain available and central office and principals will assist partners through the summer.
