Administration presented an information item proposing to increase custodial fees for external facility users (tier 2 nonprofits and youth groups, and tier 3 community/commercial users) from $20 per hour to $30 per hour and to transition facility scheduling to PracticePlan.
Adam Hasso explained the change is limited to custodial costs for outside users and not applied to school‑sponsored groups, saying the fee increase "ensures a cost neutral operation while we continue to offer our facilities out to the public." He added PracticePlan will be implemented with a user‑pays model so the district does not incur a new annual software cost and staff will phase the increase to allow partners to adjust budgets. Trustees asked whether weekend overtime will still create a shortfall and were told the district plans to "stair step" increases and re‑evaluate next year based on actual overtime reductions.
Administration said it has already notified long‑time partners (SVA, YMCA) and will provide an implementation timeline. The board treated the item as information only; no formal vote was required.
