The Independent School District 622 School Board voted unanimously to adopt the district's 2024 payable 2025 property tax levy in the total amount of $68,046,605. Mortens moved the levy adoption and Yener seconded; the motion carried 5-0, and the board authorized the School Board Clerk to sign the document used to certify the levy to county auditors and the Minnesota Department of Education.
Josh Anderson, the district's Director of Finance & Technology, presented the levy earlier in the meeting and invited public comment; no members of the public spoke. The minutes record the formal motion language adopted by the board: "BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of Independent School District No. 622 that the 2024 Payable 2025 property tax levy is adopted in the total amount of $68,046,605 and, further, that the School Board Clerk is authorized to sign the document used to certify the property tax levy to the county auditors and the Minnesota Department of Education."
