Board adopts several local policies, tables homebound-instruction policy for further review

At the Sept. 23 meeting the Spring Branch ISD Board completed second readings and adopted a package of local policies covering board training (BBD), ethics and conflict-of-interest disclosures (BBFA), safety and emergency plans (CKC), employment contracts (DCE), compensation plans (DEAB), employee complaints (DGBA), instructional resources (EF), student/parent complaints (FNG), and public complaints (GF). Trustee John Perez moved to approve the list with the exception of EEH; Secretary Shannon Mahan seconded the omnibus motion, which passed 7–0.
Trustee John Perez then moved that the board revisit policy EEH (homebound instruction) and table the vote until the next board meeting; that motion also passed 7–0. The minutes record that EEH was explicitly removed from the adoption package for additional review, indicating trustees requested more time or information before finalizing the homebound-instruction policy.
