Winlock council approves $106,681.12 in vouchers, emergency transformer repair and multiple event permits

Councilman Jeramy Allman moved to approve the consent agenda and Councilwoman Jodie Curtis seconded; "Motion carries unanimously," the minutes record. The vouchers were approved as part of that consent vote.
The council also adopted Emergency Resolution 2026-07 after a vehicle struck a transformer serving streetlights in the Grand Prairie development; replacement parts have been ordered and the city said it will seek reimbursement from the responsible party. Councilman Allman moved to approve the emergency resolution; Councilman Chuck Camps seconded and the motion carried.
Separately, the council authorized the mayor and city clerk to be investment bond signers once account access is completed and approved two Special Event Permits for Egg Day activities: a Lions Club Egg Day permit (Aye: Bowers, Allman, Camps; Councilwoman Jodie Curtis recorded an abstention) and The Club Tavern's Egg Day Beer Garden and street dance (approved unanimously).
The council tabled selection of three voting delegates for the Association of Washington Cities and later recessed into an executive session under RCW 42.30.110(g) to evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment; the session concluded with no decisions reported and the meeting adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
