At the Dec. 11 meeting Stanfield SD 61 administrators reviewed school operations and student activities for November.
Lacey Sharp (SES) described family engagement events including parent-teacher conferences, National Substitute Week, the annual ELD parent night, a Thanksgiving Feast and the PTG-hosted Neon Nights dance. Blaine Braithwaite (SSS) summarized November attendance totals, fall conferences and noted the school newspaper The Prowl as a student communication tool. Lorena Woods, serving as dean of students and athletic director, presented attendance percentages, Interdistrict Transfer Agreements and discipline data, and provided an athletics update covering middle-school and high-school basketball and the spring sports calendar. Woods commented that the district is "getting a lot of amazing feedback about our programs and the positivity of our programs."
Administrators framed these items as ongoing efforts to increase student connection and monitor attendance and discipline trends; no policy changes were proposed in the administrative reports portion of the meeting.
