The Stanfield SD 61 board took three separate votes on OSBA ballot items at its Dec. 11 meeting.
Karen Johnson moved to adopt OSBA Resolution 1 (an amendment to the OSBA dues schedule); Jan Mills seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Separately, Jan Mills moved to reject OSBA Resolution 2 (which would have created an OSBA PRIDE Caucus and designated a seat on OSBA boards); Karen Johnson seconded, and the board voted to reject that resolution. Finally, Karen Johnson moved that the board abstain from OSBA Resolution 3 (proposed bylaw amendments); Jan Mills seconded and the motion to record an abstention also carried unanimously.
Board members conducted the three ballots as separate motions and each action was recorded by the board; no additional background or public comment on the OSBA items was recorded in the meeting minutes.
