School board approves Generation College Club trip and supplemental budget resolution; meeting-time motion tabled

Karen Johnson moved to approve the Generation College Club overnight trip; Nikki McCann seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Johnson also moved to approve the 2024–25 Supplemental Budget Resolution (Resolution 2025-1113); McCann seconded and the board adopted the resolution without opposition. The minutes record those motions and note unanimous approval by the members present.
A separate motion to establish the board's regular meeting date as the second Wednesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. was made by Karen Johnson but received no second and was tabled until the December meeting. Board Chair Scott Morris thanked staff and volunteers for their work during the meeting; as he put it, "it's great to be able to watch on tv" the teams advancing to state competitions, remarks offered near the close of the meeting.
