The Seaside School District committee voted to share simplified interview-group rankings across panels the evening of interviews, while keeping full, individualized group ranking paperwork confidential for the school board.
HR described two options: (1) individual and group rankings shared only with the school board, or (2) simplified group rankings posted briefly for other interview groups to view after interviews. One HR presenter illustrated a simplified version: a posted list stating that the student group ranked candidate A first, candidate B second, and candidate C third, without revealing individual scorers. Proponents said a simplified display would promote transparency without revealing individual evaluators.
The committee approved the simplified-ranking option by voice vote. HR will implement the display on interview day and ensure the school board receives complete individualized rankings ahead of executive-session finalist deliberations.
