Sudan ISD renews teacher term contracts and approves superintendent contract

For the elementary campus group, Susan Baker moved to renew the listed staff and Ryan Netherland seconded; the motion carried 6-0. The minutes record the elementary names approved by group.
For the high school campus group, Susan Baker moved and Joe Ky Shultz seconded the motion to approve renewals; the motion carried 5-0 with Clay Carr recorded as abstaining. The minutes state probationary contracts will be acted on at the April meeting. The board entered an executive session at 7:48 p.m. "in accordance with TEC 551.074 for discussion of personnel" and returned to open session at 7:55 p.m.; following that session, the board approved the Superintendent’s contract (motion by Susan Baker, seconded by Clay Carr) with a 6-0 vote.
