Committee OKs amendment request adding CPI escalator for farmers market agreement

Staff presented Amendment #6 to the agreement with the Tallah City Farmers Market, describing a new consumer-price-index escalator and noting the district's support for market operations.
"A key change to this memo this year is I've added in a CPI escalator into the agreement for the natural trading company," staff said, noting the escalator would produce a 2–4% annual increase to cover rising costs. Staff also told the committee the annual audit can continue under the $3,200 threshold but that rising costs are bringing expenses close to that level.
Board members raised questions about parking at Commons Beach, the contract's handling of shortfalls and the district's process for tracking staff time; staff replied that the parking conversation is with Placer County and that the contract requires the market (TCB/TCDA) to cover shortfalls.
The Chair indicated the item will be placed on the consent agenda for the full board and that staff will track staff-time impacts in the new monitoring system.
