The Tatum Independent School District Board of Trustees approved increases to district expenditures to cover maintenance and transportation costs.
Dr. J.P. Richardson asked trustees to approve an $80,000 increase in Function 51 (Maintenance and Operations) and a $30,000 increase in Function 34 (Transportation) to pay for increased maintenance costs, bus repairs and transportation insurance claims. Mrs. Kip Amick moved to approve the increases as presented; Mr. Curt Smith seconded and the motion passed 6-0.
The superintendent did not provide a line-by-line funding source for the increases during the meeting. The board's approval authorizes the administration to adjust the indicated functions by the approved amounts; any further allocation details are expected to appear in future financial reports or budget adjustments.
