Tatum ISD says it received sole bid from Sabine Oil and Gas for subsurface drilling

Superintendent Dr. J.P. Richardson informed the Tatum Independent School District Board of Trustees that the district received only one bid for leasing district property for the purpose of subsurface horizontal drilling. "The sole bidder was Sabine Oil and Gas Corporation," Richardson said, and the district will evaluate the bid and proposed lease documents with counsel.
Richardson told trustees the administration will return with a lease agreement for board consideration at the next meeting after legal review.
