The City of Zillah on Nov. 18 approved Resolution 2024-50, awarding a contract to NW Court Consultants to restore and resurface the two tennis courts at Loges Park and convert them into six pickleball courts. Councilmember Beth Husted moved the resolution and Councilmember Doug Stewart seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
City staff told council that the project is funded through the Washington State Capital Budget and is intended to enhance recreation, improve Loges Park, and attract visitors to Zillahs historic downtown. NW Court Consultants submitted the most competitive bid; competing bidders included Pickleball Court LLC and Arrow Concrete and Asphalt Specialties, LLC. The council discussion noted the projects role in broader downtown revitalization efforts.
