The City of Zillah City Council voted unanimously Dec. 2 to adopt Resolution No. 2024-50, establishing the 2025 irrigation assessment as proposed by SVID. The resolution updates the additional rate the city charges to cover infrastructure and staffing for irrigation maintenance and operations.
Staff informed the council that a separate city water-rate study is under way and expected to be completed in 2025; that study could recommend further changes to water or irrigation-related charges. Councilmember Doug Stewart moved the resolution and Councilmember Brian Williams seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
