Staff asked the board to approve the procurement plan that enables the district to buy food and service equipment in line with state procurement requirements and to submit documentation for reimbursement where applicable. For Emmons Elementary, staff requested approval to purchase a dish machine from vendor Stafford Smith at a cost of $74,999. For Liberty Elementary, the district sought approval to purchase a serving line using a Stafford Smith quote. Both equipment purchases were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Separately, staff presented a five‑year agreement with Jostens to supply graduation and student recognition products, replacing Herff Jones; benefits noted included a three‑year price guarantee and no fee for diploma setup. The board approved the Jostens agreement as part of the business agenda.
