City staff announced open vacancies for boards and commissions during the meeting. The Human Rights Commission has one vacancy to fill an unexpired term through 2027; applications must be received by 5 p.m. on August 25. Additional openings include multiple seats on the Airport Zoning Board of Adjustment and the Board of Appeals for five-year terms expiring in 2028 and 2030, and three openings on the Historic Preservation Commission with terms running through 2027 and 2028.
Staff said vacancies will remain open until filled. The council took no additional action beyond the announcement and reminder of application deadlines.
