Board approves routine minutes, disbursements and tables several items

Trustees unanimously approved meeting minutes, disbursements and an amendment to executive-session minutes, and tabled multiple agenda items including TIF inducement, Rend Lake water contract, summer hiring, employee handbook revisions, and votes on President/Mayor and municipal clerk.
During the April 7 session trustees approved the March 18, 2026 minutes, authorized disbursements to vendors and employees listed on the agenda, and approved an amendment to the March 18 executive-session minutes to change wording to "Discussion was made." Each of those items passed on unanimous roll-call votes.
The board tabled numerous items for later consideration, including a proposed TIF District 3 inducement resolution (Nic Nelson absent), approval of lots for tax increment (Eli Birka absent), a ten-year contract with Rend Lake Water District while contract terms are worked out, hiring and advertising for summer help, vacation-day revisions to the employee handbook, the Municipal Clerk appointment, and park-sign and safety review items. Several items remained under investigation at the time of adjournment, including alleged delinquency and document-shredding matters.
