The Hill City board appointed John Colosimo and/or the law firm Pemberton Law to serve as the district's school board attorney. The motion to appoint Colosimo/Pemberton Law was made by Joell Miranda and seconded by Haley Wentz and passed by unanimous vote (Yea: 6, Nay: 0).
The board also designated the superintendent as the HIPAA Security Officer and the district controller as the HIPAA Privacy Officer; the motion (moved by Sarah Kingsley, seconded by Jeremy Nelson) passed unanimously.
