Staff announces new development planner, permit software launch and City Center infrastructure projects

Staff also said the city is testing new permit software (January roll‑out for public works, planning and zoning) and will implement new accounts‑payable software to improve internal reporting. A commissioner pointed the public to the South Burlington construction update page that includes a GoPro time‑lapse of the water tank; staff said the annual commission report to council is complete and will be transmitted as part of the city’s reporting packet.
The changes are intended to improve permit timing and internal administrative capacity; staff said they hope to reduce duplication and make information more accessible to applicants.
