Planning Board approves taller black fence for Family Laundry; sign design scaled back

The Planning Board approved the installation of a taller black fence with black panels, with the condition that the portion of the site above the fence be painted to match requirements for secure installation.
The applicant had sought to place a large "bubble face" sign on an alternate side of the building; the Planning Board did not approve that design. Instead, the applicant presented a revised sign that was approved with a compromise to insert a small bubble logo into the approved sign. Commission members Jeff Hoffman and Tim Arata attended the Planning Board meeting and told the commission that the Planning Board's review covered installation details to ensure the fence would not blow off the building.
The commission's minutes note that, from the Historic Preservation Commission's perspective, the Planning Board's approvals addressed the outstanding issues for the Family Laundry application.
