At its March 26, 2026 meeting the Ridgefield Park Historic Preservation Commission reviewed an application from Lexington Equities, LLC proposing demolition of an existing restaurant and four residential structures at 36–50 Mt. Vernon Street (Block 65, Lots 19–23) and construction of a mixed‑use building with 52 residential units and 3,956 square feet of retail space.
The minutes state there was no one present on behalf of the applicant. Commission members noted questions about the submitted drawings and directed staff to ask the applicant to confirm in writing that there are no changes to materials, finishes or colors from the previously approved drawings before the commission will vote on the application. The minutes record the commission has not received further information and that no representative appeared at the March meeting.
Because no presentation or testimony was heard, the commission took no formal action on the application at this meeting. The item remains open pending written confirmation from the applicant and any subsequent appearance or resubmission.
