Temple ISD board approves audits, construction GMPs and consent items at Oct. 15 meeting

The Temple Independent School District (TISD) Board of Trustees met Oct. 15, 2024, at the district administration boardroom and handled routine business including acceptance of the district's annual financial audit and approvals for construction contracts and consent items. Board President Dan Posey called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with five trustees present.
During the meeting the board approved the Annual Financial Audit Report for 2023–2024 and adopted consent agenda items covering purchases over $50,000, school trips and meeting minutes. Two construction items also passed: a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for additions and renovations at Western Hills Elementary School and a GMP for a science lab addition at Temple High School. Recorded votes on the audit, consent agenda and both GMPs were unanimous, 5-0. The meeting adjourned at 7:56 p.m.
