TEMPLE ISD extends ABM custodial contract through fiscal year pending performance improvements

Kent Boyd reported that 18 vendors responded to the custodial services RFP; the purchasing department vetted respondents and identified two finalists—ABM (the incumbent) and HES Facilities Management. Boyd and Bobby Ott recommended extending ABM through the remainder of the fiscal year under an improvement plan and revisiting a longer-term contract in the summer if performance criteria are not met.
On a motion by Shannon Gowan, seconded by Dawn Cook, the committee unanimously approved the contract extension for ABM through the end of the current fiscal year (6-0).
