Mayor updates council on paving, parks and Air Force community evaluation

He said revised plans for North Highland Park were received and that a change-order and pricing would come later.
The mayor also noted community engagement items: a recent visit from Congressman Gary Palmer to Prattville businesses, and attendance at a Joint Board of Control and Military Affairs Council meeting where the Air Force evaluation process was discussed. "One of the key areas the Air Force looks at is education in the community surrounding its bases," he said, urging more communications and marketing around education and community assets. He also flagged a long-running dilapidated-structure matter at 113 Isom Street and said he planned to meet with planning staff and the city attorney.
