The City Council voted to set a public hearing for 6 p.m. on Sept. 1, 2026 at Prattville City Hall to consider a petition to rezone property at 403 Durden Road from R-3 (single-family residential) to T-1 (manufactured home subdivision).
The resolution, read into the record, states the petitioner as Monya Ray Carver and describes the lot as roughly 1.02 acres (plus or minus). It also notes that the Prattville Planning Commission held a public hearing on July 16, 2026 and did not recommend the requested zoning change. Councilors set the hearing date and the resolution was adopted to allow public testimony and official consideration on Sept. 1.
The council said members of the public would have an opportunity to be heard at the scheduled hearing. No decisions on rezoning were made at the meeting beyond setting the public hearing date.
