The Temple Independent School District’s joint Board Policy and Board Facilities Committee approved a staff development minutes waiver for the 2024–25 school year on Sept. 26, allowing the district to provide up to 2,100 total minutes of professional development.
Eric Haugeberg presented the waiver to the committee and the motion to approve was adopted unanimously, 6-0. Committee members present included Ronnie Gaines, Dawn Cook, Linell Davis, Shannon Gowan, Dan Posey and Virginia Suarez. The approval permits the district to schedule the additional minutes for staff professional learning across the school year.
