Klamath County School Board accepts audit, says budget "in relatively stable condition"

The Board of Directors of Klamath County School District on Jan. 16 accepted the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024. The motion to accept the audit was made by Brooke Kliewer, seconded by John Rademacher, and passed on a recorded vote of 5–0.
Janet Melsness, KCSD Director of Business Services, presented the monthly financial report and the audit packet, saying, "Our budget is in relatively stable condition." Melsness told the board the auditors met earlier that day with Superintendent Glen Szymoniak, Chair Steve Lowell and Board Member John Rademacher to review the audit. Rademacher said the auditors "were very complimentary of the business department." The audit will remain part of the district record and related accounting items will be folded into the district's FY25 planning and reporting processes.
