Resident Sherry Quonaro thanked the council for passing the new tree ordinance and asked what the borough will do to notify every household. Staff and council members said they are preparing a two-page tree-removal permit application, will post it to the website and the mayor's newsletter, and will place signage at Borough Hall and public pages to raise awareness.
Another resident, Kathy Sheridan, reported a storm-downed cable and wires at Oval and Mavis that have been on the ground since December, creating a safety hazard. Council directed DPW to follow up and attempt further contact with the carrier; officials said the wires appear to be cable, not electrical, and that they would continue pursuit of a resolution.
