Board hears update on South Stokes animal sciences lab; soil tests still pending

Mr. Roberts told the board that demolition and grading for the South Stokes animal sciences laboratory have been completed but that the timeline for construction depends on soil testing and proof roll results. "After we get that completed and proof roll completed, we'll be able to move on to the construction of that building," Mr. Roberts said.
Board members asked where the building would be located; Mr. Roberts said it will sit adjacent to the band building in the lower parking area where an old greenhouse stood. No safety concerns were reported for the location, and the board heard that the district expects to schedule construction once engineering and testing results are finalized.
