Stokes County Schools reviews capital projects including marquees, turf and South Stokes lab

The board discussed timelines for finishing work. Mr. Roberts said South Stokes’ tennis court asphalt is curing with a roughly 30-day curing period before striping, and West Oaks’ artificial turf was about 80% installed. On the South Stokes animal sciences building, Mr. Roberts said demolition and grading are complete and district staff are awaiting soil testing and proof roll before construction can begin. Board members praised the volume of work completed and asked clarifying questions about safety and scheduling.
