Superintendent Dr. Deidre Parish reported that SEED MDD agreed to increase its financial contribution to expand the district’s licensed child-care facility. Janell Martin told trustees the center currently enrolls 76 children and staff know of several unborn babies expected in the coming months, indicating additional demand.
Following discussion, Domingo Castillo moved to accept the amendment to the Interlocal Agreement with SEED MDD; Matt Weaver seconded. The motion passed 6–0 with Jeff Allen recorded as abstaining. The amendment authorizes the expansion activity described by district staff and increases the partner contribution.
