Superintendent Dr. Deidre Parish introduced representatives from Schneider Electric, who reviewed a proposed Investment Grade Audit under The Interlocal Purchasing System contract No. 220104. Charlie Davis outlined the scope Schneider would examine and Dr. David Young, speaking from experience as a former Abilene ISD superintendent, referenced positive feedback from other districts that completed similar audits.
Project engineer Ryan Wunder told trustees the engagement would begin with an initial inventory to prioritize projects and upgrades. After board discussion, Domingo Castillo moved to accept the proposal; Dennis Cumbie seconded and the motion passed 7–0.
The approved audit will produce a prioritized list of energy-efficiency measures for the district and inform later procurement or construction decisions.
