Councilman Bially presented the Water & Sewer and Highway Department activity for the period Nov. 25–Dec. 16. He reported 19 water and sewer mark-out requests, four sewer stoppage clears, upgrades to two meter heads and work connecting service lines to a new water main on Roosevelt; crews flushed hydrants and repaired a water leak on West Jersey Ave.
Bially also gave sanitation and recycling numbers: 293.72 total tons of solid waste in November at a total cost of $25,312.81, with 66.32 tons of single-stream recycling. He listed other operational details including brush and leaf volumes and mulch movement that inform next-year operations and budgets.
