The Valley Mills Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved the consent agenda at its Feb. 19 regular meeting, a package that included prior meeting minutes, the monthly financial report, a comparison of revenues to expenditures, the investment report and a budget amendment. The board also accepted a grant from the University of Kansas as part of the consent items.
The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Jim Blackford and seconded by Steven Owens; the motion passed 7–0. Board minutes list each trustee vote as "Yea" (Jim Blackford; John Bullion; Kristy Hollingsworth; Mike Jones; Tammie Mann-Chrisman; Steven Owens; Jake Wolf). The approval clears routine business and moves several financial items into the district record for the coming months.
