Tulia ISD board authorizes $500 one-time payment to all employees

Following a closed session under Texas Government Code Sec. 551.074, the Tulia ISD Board of Trustees authorized a one-time lump-sum payment of $500 to all current full-time and part-time Tulia ISD employees. The board specified that the payment will be issued on a separate payroll dated Friday, December 6, 2024, and referenced the 2024—2025 Employee Compensation Manual, page 9, as the governing document for the distribution.
The authorization was made in open session after the closed deliberation. William Fifer moved to authorize the one-time payment and Nicole Gore seconded; the motion carried by a unanimous vote of trustees present. The closed session had been convened earlier to deliberate personnel matters, resignations and the lump-sum payment before the public action.
