Troup ISD confirms 20-year roof warranty, to seek construction manager at risk and update emergency plan

Support Services director Preston Lindsey told the Troup ISD Board on Sept. 8 that curb work on the roof air-conditioning unit has been completed and that the district confirmed a 20-year warranty on that work. Lindsey also said the district will solicit proposals for a Construction Manager at Risk to oversee anticipated bond construction work.
Lindsey further reported that the district is updating its Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) for submission to the Texas School Safety Commission; the submission will include updates to the annex on active threats and, if adjustments are required by the commission, the district will have a 90-day window to resubmit changes.
Board members did not vote on the RFP authorization at the meeting; the report was informational and intended to prepare trustees for upcoming procurement and safety filings.
