Council President Yoo read ordinance 12-51-24, a bond ordinance authorizing various public improvements and the acquisition of equipment and vehicles. The text introduced a multi-hundred-thousand-to-multi-million-dollar package; the council read the appropriation language into the record, including the passage that the ordinance would "appropriate the sum of $2,000,915 $2,915,187" and authorize issuance of bonds. The council also introduced ordinance 12-52-24 (sanitary sewer improvements, appropriation of $69,000) and ordinance 12-53-24 (a $234,089 capital appropriation with $189,939 from an NJDOT grant and $47,150 from capital improvement funds).
Each ordinance was adopted on first reading and scheduled for a final passage hearing at the council chambers in April 2024; the borough clerk was directed to publish the required introduction and hearing notices.
