Pitman work session: residents ask about solar panels and social-media sharing; council schedules follow-ups

Residents used the public portion of the work session to ask practical questions about the bond projects and the borough's communications policy. Guy Groff asked whether the social-media policy would apply to the Garden Club's social pages; Mayor Razze said the policy would apply to borough committees and commissions who chose to engage on social media. Catherine Lawrence said disabling sharing would be counterproductive for outreach: "[she] felt it would be a hindrance to disable the sharing of Borough posts as this is the main way the information can be spread."
The session included several procedural motions: Councilman Mazzola moved to open discussion at 7:03 p.m. (seconded by Councilman Uyehara), motions to open and close the public portion were moved and seconded by Milward and Uyehara, and Councilman Mazzola moved to adjourn at 7:57 p.m. (seconded by Uyehara); all motions recorded in the transcript passed with "ayes all." Council and staff committed to additional town meetings about the bond referendum and to preparing a final social-media policy early in the new year.
