During the opening business, the presiding chair recognized Saint Teresa School for being named a 2015 National Blue Ribbon School and offered congratulations to students and staff.
"We would all like to express our congratulations to the students and the staff at Saint Teresa School for this great achievement," the chair said. The chair also announced community calendar items: Palatine High School presents "Steampunk Romeo and Juliet" on Thursday, Oct. 15; the Palatine Public Library used-book sale runs Oct. 16–18; the farmers market continues every Saturday; the police department will hold an open house Saturday, Oct. 17, with limited slots and online sign-up; Bingo night will be held at the American Legion Hall on Oct. 17; and Councilman Lammer will host a District 2 advisory meeting Oct. 21 at the Palatine Senior Center.
