The board recorded the motion as moved by Trustee Jim Patton and seconded by Trustee Taylor Bledsoe; the minutes state the motion "passed unanimously (6-0)."
Items on the consent agenda included amendments to the 2025–26 budget; bid awards for restaurant and catering services, educational consultants and professional development, local retail general merchandise, education software, and E‑Rate-funded network cabling, UPS and wireless access points; renewal of the food service management contract for 2026–27; engagement of the external auditor for fiscal 2025–26; memoranda of understanding with Vanguard College Preparatory School and Abilene Christian University; purchases of library books; and approval of board meeting minutes from March 19 and several special meetings in March and April.
Board members were also presented with monthly and quarterly financial reports for the periods ended Feb. 28 and March 31, 2026 as information items. The board took no separate roll-call votes on individual consent items in the minutes; the agenda was adopted as a single motion.
