Public Works Director John Biront presented a prioritized list of roads needing paving in 2026 and recommended repaving the Borough Hall parking lot and replacing curbing and catch basins. He told the council that an application for DOT road resurfacing grants was not submitted in 2025 but that plans for Amelia Street and Rickland Drive resurfacing remained in progress.
Biront also requested capital equipment and facility investments including replacement of the 2012 dump truck with plow, purchase of a tire balancing machine, a prefabricated garage for winter vehicle storage, a new salt dome/canopy and renovations for the Walker Park house. The council agreed to consider the requests during the next capital-budget session.
